Sketch
Haven’t drawn any completed images in a while, mostly just dicking around with tools and techniques. Here is a sketch of something i might go further with. If I do, it’ll be for a post about wrinkly and baggy clothes, since this person has a lot of that.

This post would be titled “Line Practice 1” if it wasn’t for Tumblr’s Flustercuck posting system.
Here is a drawing done with anti aliasing lines. It looks a lot smoother but its still not perfect. How I did it was by drawing it by hand, then used my art program to edit the thickness of the lines. I’m going to use this picture to practice coloring later on.
There’s a few things I find weird about it, mainly how the hat looks, and her left arm. All things to practice in the future.
Body Shapes 1
Its been a while since my last post, hopefully I won’t be this infrequent with updates. I just haven’t been motivated enough to draw. Anyways, today I’ve done some work on body shapes. and I decided to make a step by step to show how I do sketches as well. An excuse for posting unfinished art? Perhaps!
Man, woman, fat guy, child. I kept them regular and not super stylized, but in the future you may see some more interesting bodies.

All I learned from this, is that I need to learn how to draw baggy pants.
Carte Artem
for my first drawing, I drew a person. I tried to utilize what I already knew and didn’t do anything different. Lets call her Carte Artem for now. hopefully she can be a constant for the future so i can see a direct improvement. you may even call her an original character.

If that’s the case, then she needs a personality: She loves to play Mario Kart and her favourite food is PB & J sandwiches. Moving on…
I decided to not use anti aliasing/line smoothing and I think Carte took a hit because of it. The light source is also a little iffy, appears to be in front and to the left. Her face is kinda off to me as well, because i couldn’t decide what her eyes should look like. The overall design looks nice and simple though so I likely won’t change it.
All things to practice in the future.
The Beginning
This is my first post on Tumblr, any posts after will hopefully be accompanied by art.
I hope this goes well. I want to make a lot of tumbros (is that the term?) so if you like art and people learning art. Subscribe to me I guess.
